We Need An Orgy

What if you woke up with only what you gave thanks for yesterday? Would you have woken up on the floor? More likely on the street? Would there be anything in your pockets, your wallet, your accounts? Would you have a car? Would you still have a job to go to? The job that you hate. Would you want it to disappear today? No. Then it is something to be grateful and happy about.

What about body parts? All those parts that aren’t quite the way you would like them to be. Legs that are too fat, too skinny, too short, too long. Hair that won’t do exactly what you want it to do. Skin that is too light, too dark, not perfect enough. What about your liver that keeps you alive? Of course you never give it a thought, much less some gratitude or love. Some people are on their way out because their liver is failing them. All your other organs and systems.

So much for which to be grateful. Food? I know, I know. It’s not quite what you see on TV or in food magazines. You don’t have a personal chef. You can’t afford organic. Millions can only dream of what you have. You need an orgy of gratitude.

Never have a people been as blessed and abundant as we Americans. Never have a people been more whiny and less appreciative. The kings of France in all their glory and splendor did not have a daily shower. Much less air conditioning. Or central heating.Their golden coaches with their primitive suspensions going over rutted uneven roads without heating or air conditioning were nothing compared to your five year-old Kia.

Twenty-five or so years ago only a few millionaires (and those were much rarer back then) had “car phones”. Hardly mobile. They were hard-wired to the car and stayed there. Now everybody has a smart phone. Something unimaginable to a tycoon or emir a generation or so ago.

We always hear about poverty. Fact is there is so much less poverty around the world and here at home than there was twenty years ago. Much less than fifty years ago. We just hear and think more about it than ever before. We are living in the extraordinarily best time in history being destroyed by ungrateful people.

Every problem that we are experiencing today can be traced to ingratitude. Whether it be individual murders or war. Jealousy, envy, theft, infidelity, hate. On and on. Ingratitude.

We need a never ending orgy of gratitude. Gratitude elevates us. Higher and higher. More achievement. More blessings. More joy. Greater experience of success, growth and prosperity.

What is is the way it really is. Observation is power. Observe all the blessings in your life and watch them increase. Judgment is weakness. Judgment creates images of nothingness. Judgment finds the negative, stuff that is not there. In this way judgment is weakness.

Observe. Realize. Appreciate. Repeat. Then repeat. Again. More. Learn it, live it, love it.
