Do You Know The Way

Do you know where you’re going? Wrong answer!! If you know where you are going, you are going in the wrong direction. You heard me. If you know where you are going, you are going in the wrong direction. How can that be? Well, you already know how to get to the same old same old. You already know how to do boring and pointless. You already know how to do just scraping by. You already know how to do frustrated. You already know how to get to where you are today. You’ve already done it and could give lessons. But when it comes to the dream, uncharted territory. It will be different for you than for anybody else.

Judge not lest you live a life filtered by your judgments. Judge not. You have dreams and have set goals. Right? Should hope so. Well you hold out these hopes, dreams, goals. And you set out toward the future. And every time things don’t go the way you think they should you are disappointed, discouraged, frustrated. Why? How could you possibly know? You don’t. You’ve never been to where you want to go and have no idea what the road looks like and have no idea what the landmarks are along the way.

Have a little faith. Which should is a whole lot easier than you think. Why? Again, because you do not know the way. If you were driving with a friend to some place you had never been you wouldn’t presume to give said friend directions.

Don’t judge, don’t judge, don’t judge. DO NOT JUDGE. Keep moving toward the goal knowing that you are moving toward the goal. Most people either never make their move or quit making moves after a few outcomes that they judge to be disappointing. If they had known them in their early days, most people would have advised Edison, Gates, Branson, Jobs and other such luminaries to quit after their first few disappointment or challenges. Luckily, for both them and us, they never heeded such “wisdom”.

Go for it! Dream, do, move, go, believe. Enjoy the trip. Bumps and all. Not really bumps.
